Monzino family’s activity started in 1750 with handcrafted production and trade of musical instruments and accessories, as well as publishing. Six generations have succeeded each other, from father to just one son and just one family branch, thanks to the father's careful evaluation of the entrepreneurial skills of the successor. The seventh generation was marked by the succession of five family branches. It all started with the opening of a small shop in Milan, in Contrada delle Dogana close to the Duomo, offering services to those who enjoyed playing music, either as amateurs or as professionals, selling top quality instruments and providing assistance for repairs, string production for string instruments as well as horsehair for straw hats. At present, the Group includes a company specialized in importing and distributing musical instruments, another in publishing with subsidiaries in Italy, France and Spain, a JV for distribution in Italy, a real estate company and a Foundation. In 2002 the Group made the acquisition from Warner Chappel of Carisch, musical editor since 1887.  One of the most interesting aspects of Carisch was the establishment of a second division known as Monsound in 2007.

Monsound (Audio Division of Carisch S.p.A.) offers a very complete line of products and for different level of Customers. Hence, DaG is our entry level brand for plastic cabinets active and passive, as well as compact mixing consoles, DJ mixers and small power amplifiers mainly for DJ use. With XXL we address the market of large numbers and the brand offers more than 100 products highly competitive in price to end Users still offering something more than our Competitors. In fact, the XXL brand launched at the end of 2009 the world’s first compact mixing console with built-in lythium battery (the same kind used in mobile phones) and USB interface IN and OUT. The Retail Price is highly affordable and we are proud in saying that the unit has been developed in Europe. Moreover XXL offers other innovative solution to its Users such as dynamic processing on passive mixer and acoustic modeling technology on most of its powered cabinets. With MyAudio we offer products that are looked for and liked for the features and performance they offer more than for the price. All MyAudio products are developed in Europe and some of them are manufactured in Italy. Our Country offers some of the best woofers ad drivers available today so it is natural for us to make use of such advanced components for MyAudio speaker cabinets. The MyAudio line also consists of digital and analogue wireless microphones, dynamic microphones and recording condenser microphones. M1750 is our excellence brand and it is made with no economy thinking about the best quality and sound and the best mechanical and architectural solutions for the professional User. M1750, that stands for Monzino and the year our Company was founded, also includes a very innovative Line Array that is almost invisible on stage and that can be put together by a single person in a few minutes: the Fourarray. All the M1750 and MyAudio speaker systems are manufactured in Italy.
